Thinking about Early Earth History

I was not sure of how much of this to post.  it seems to cover more than one subject

Thinking of God

God does not give us specific directions for life.

Just general guidelines that may be easily misinterpreted.

I took four years to study the Bible, hoping that it would clearly direct my life,

I learned a lot, but mostly that anyone can stray and that there are no guarantees with God

What happened Early in Earth History

According to the theory, the Earth collected dust and material together to form the planet.

This caused a high temperature, and the water formed a canopy above the Earth. At some point the Earth cooled enough for that moisture to be too much for the atmosphere. Once the water started to condense, there was a terrific storm. All the water came down in a relatively short period of time. There must have been water in the soil also. The huge pressure of falling rain would have force up much water from below the soil and rock.

Fossils Trying to make my notes separate from research sources.

This large amount of water in a short time would be a natural disaster larger than anything we can experience in our time.

Remember that mid-west is considered to one time have been at the bottom of the ocean, and contains the Grand Canyon. This is all part of one Big Natural disaster.

Most fossils are sea creatures, and very easily found. Buried quickly they have lots of minerals around to help form fossils. Secondly, what about internal features?

Dinosaur bones are different. Many are possibly actual bones and not fossils with internal features.

This also does not come close to explaining the vast coal, oil and gas deposits in all parts of the planet.

It’s very rare to be buried quickly enough for a body to be preserved, so keep an eye out for natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and flooding streams, which can help by burying you in ash or engulfing your body in sediment.

Step Three: Pick a Nice Plot

Pro-tip for the aspiring fossil: pick a place that won’t have too many natural disasters that could mess up that perfectly preserved skeleton of yours. While it may be harder to find a burial site free from fault lines or flooding if you choose to go the sudden burial route, you’ll stand a better chance of your fossilized skeleton being found if it’s not buried by tectonic shifts or washed away by running water. The best spot, according to Nosowitz? Try the Midwest:

Step Four: Trade Those Guts for Crystals

Your intestines are just going to block the view of your pelvis: why not trade them for longer-lasting crystals and minerals? Most fossils are formed when mineral-rich water mixes with an animal’s remains that replace its cells over time, hardening until the corpse becomes rock-hard.

Minerals crystallise inside the mould and a cast is formed.

Water rich in minerals enters the mould, and fills the cavity. The minerals deposited in the mould form a cast of the mould. This cast has the same shape as the original skeleton, but none of its internal features.

Chapter 7

The Fossil Record

by Roger Patterson on January 27, 2011

Extensive fossil graveyards and coal deposits are more consistent with a global catastrophe than with slow and steady processes over millions of years.

The formation of fossils demands that the organisms be buried quickly in an environment free of oxygen where nothing will disturb them. We find few places like this on earth today. Flood conditions are ideal for forming fossils, and the global Flood described in Genesis provides a starting point to examine the fossil record. Far from showing gradual changes of one organism transforming into another, the fossil record shows fully-formed organisms appearing suddenly and disappearing—just what we would expect if life were created and then later judged by the Flood. The Bible offers a framework to understand the fossil record.

Hebrews 11:3 (KJV)

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
