The Properties of light

Why do many articles focus only on Photons and our inability to determine their mass?

After all, light not only acts as a wave, but also as a particle.  A particle has mass.

There has been confirmed that light does bend when passing the sun.

So why confuse it by continuing to talk about the bending of space and time?  This can not be tested and really means nothing.  When scientists predicted that light would bend when passing the sun, they must have assigned a mass to light.  Einstein correctly predicted that the bending would be approximately twice that calculated earlier.

These predictions, as far as I am concerned, were based on some amount of mass for light.  They vary according to the mass of the object affecting them.  Then, why keep using an undefinable “bending of space and time”   After all, what is space if not the distance between objects.  What is time but the measurement of things happening?

So, there may be characteristics of light that we do not understand.  Start with what we do know.  Get rid of fuzzy terms that really do not help us understand.
